Dear Beauty Conscious Reader,

By lengthening your telomeres, you can extend your life. And that means for the first time, you can actually stop – even reverse – the aging process in your body.

Here’s the thing…

Your telomeres are extremely vulnerable to oxidative stress. And that’s exactly what antioxidants protect you against. This helps keep your telomeres long. And that, in turn, will help you live a longer and healthier life.

That’s where the healing powers of tea come in. The antioxidant properties of tea may be responsible for protecting the telomeres.

Green tea packs a powerful punch of antioxidants and phytonutrients that eradicates free radicals floating in your body. These are the primary culprits in aging.

The active ingredient in green tea is EGCG, which can prevent and repair cell damage. As a scavenger of free radicals, EGCG combats the effects of pollution, sunlight, and smoking, which helps skin from wrinkling and aging.

The best way to receive the benefits abundant in green tea – including the EGCG – is to start with whole tea leaves (sold in specialty tea stores) or with a tea bag.

Most of the bottled green tea drinks contain additives like aspartame that counteract brewed green tea’s healing properties. I suggest you make your own to maximize the powerful, antioxidant-fighting benefits. You can also find EGCG supplements at your local health-food store. I suggest taking 50 mg of EGCG daily.

And there are other ways to maintain your telomere length. Here’s what I recommend:

Vitamin B12 – Take at least 100 mcg per day. Although, I have advised my patients to take as much as 500 mcg per day or more for improving things like brain function and energy levels.

Vitamin C – Based on my own experience, taking up to 3,000 mg per day is a good amount if you’re in good health. I always recommend pregnant women get at least 6,000 mg per day. And in times of stress or sickness, you can take up to 20,000 mg.

Make sure that you get the natural form of vitamin C and not the synthetic form. In one particular study, natural vitamin C was 148% more effective than the synthetic form. And it stayed in the test participants’ systems longer.2

Vitamin E – Look for a multivitamin with at least 200 iu of “mixed tocopherols” rather than just alpha tocopherols. Your body is better able to absorb them in their organic “d” form.

To Your Good Health,

“After 4 Hours in the Sun I Didn’t Burn at All!”

Rev Up Your Body’s “Internal Sunscreen” with This Natural Miracle

Dear Beauty Conscious Reader,

One of my patients took her family to a beach party. Knowing it was going to be a full day in the sun, she decided to give my new sun protection capsule a try.

After four hours of direct sunlight, she was astounded. Her skin was completely normal! There wasn’t a hint of sunburn … she wasn’t even pink.

Unfortunately, her husband and son weren’t so lucky. They hadn’t tried my new formula. So instead of being fully protected against the sun, they came home with burnt red noses and “farmer’s” tans.

Reports like this have been coming in from all over the country. My patients and readers tell me they’re suddenly enjoying sunshine like they did when they were kids.

You don’t have to smear on smelly lotions and sunscreens all day long. Now, for the first time ever, you and your loved ones can spend whole afternoons in the sun without giving a thought to sunburn or skin damage.

That’s because I’ve put together an unprecedented arsenal of safe, natural compounds that unleash your body’s internal sun-protecting power. It helps your skin halt the harmful processes that lead to burns, wrinkles, and aging. You might say it’s even more powerful than sunlight . . .

Tap the Power of Your Skin’s Natural Defense

My potent new sun protection capsule is called Radiance. It combines 7 high-octane nutrients in a unique formula tailored to meet your skin’s specific needs. It doesn’t work like commercial sun block. In fact, it doesn’t “block” the sun at all. Instead it changes the way your skin responds to sunlight internally—at the cellular level.

All you need is a glass of water. In minutes, the ingredients in Radiance go straight to work. Instead of wrinkles, peeling, and painful redness, you can maintain a healthy glow after long stretches of exposure.

It’s truly revolutionary.

I came up with Radiance after years of research. You see, skin damage from the sun is all about nutrition. Deliver the right nutrients where they’re needed, and sunlight no longer poses a threat.

The arsenal of high-powered antioxidants I’ve assembled for Radiance does just that. You won’t find a more potent set of allies anywhere. And since they’re completely natural, your body knows exactly what to do with them. They work with your skin to beef up its natural defenses.

I know it works. Not only from the results shared by my patients and readers —I use it myself.

The results have been nothing short of amazing. I can tool around my garden or do my daily PACE® routine in the middle of a cloudless day and it’s almost like I never left my house.

Protect Your Skin From the Inside Out

I brought together ingredients from around the world to ensure that your skin stays healthy and youthful for life. These organic compounds help your body stay ahead of any damage from sun exposure. Even when you’re not in the sun, they’re still fighting for you.

Therevolutionary ingredient I tracked down is a patented antioxidant formula made in France. It’s called GliSODin®.

The GliSODin® in Radiancetakes a highly unstable antioxidant native to your body and makes it available in supplement form for the first time. The compound is one of Nature’s most powerful free radical fighters—so powerful it’s called “the enzyme of life.” You’ll find it in almost every living thing on earth.

It’s called superoxide dismutase, or SOD. It was first discovered in 1968.

Your body starts pumping it into your system in the first few hours of life. It’s absolutely necessary for survival. In past studies, scientists discovered that mice whose bodies are genetically unable to make SOD die within a few days from massive free radical damage.1

Over time, your body stops making enough of it to ward off the harmful effects of too much sun. The problem we’ve faced for decades is finding a way to replace lost SOD. Its complex and delicate structure can’t withstand the onslaught of your digestive tract. Saliva and stomach acids destroy it before it can make its way into your system.

So there was no way to make a supplement you could take that would deliver SOD when you need it. Until now.

The scientists who formulated the GliSODin® in Radiance found a way around the problem. They took SOD and “wrapped” it up in a protective sheath made of natural vegetable protein.

Then they went to work in the laboratory to see if it was effective. The answer is a resounding “Yes.”

Check this out:

When dermatologists at the Center Hospital University in France finished their study of this remarkable ingredient, they were stunned… They used UV light to give sunburns on the forearms of 50 people once a week for four weeks. The volunteers took this new capsule or a placebo (dummy pill) each day.2

The people taking the “sunscreen capsule” had a dramatic increase in the minimum amount of exposure necessary to produce sunburn. Even fair-skinned people required eight times more UV exposure to produce sunburn than did the placebo group.

One hundred and fifty people took GliSODin® every day for two months.3 They were given a sunbathing routine to follow strictly. The researchers then split them into three groups: 75 who usually have significant flushing or reddening almost immediately during exposure; 60 who experience less severe reactions to sunlight, and 15 who suffer from other sun-related problems like irritated skin. Results after four to eight weeks: 64 in the first group of sensitive sunbathers reported excellent tolerance to continued sun exposure. In the second group, 44 had no experience of sun burn or negative reactions. And in group three, a full hundred percentof the people reported none of the usual symptoms they usually experienced with sunbathing. Overall, 82% of people judged their skin was well prepared for sun exposure.*

In another study, 15 people who redden easily or have hypersensitivity to the sun took the new form of SOD I use in my Radiance formula. After three to eight weeks of normal sun exposure, all of the people in the study reported a higher tolerance and significantly lower tendency to redden, flush, or have sun-induced skin irritation, when compared to previous experiences of summer sun exposure.4

These studies prove that GliSODin® works. Everyone in these studies started to see results within two or three days. Not bad when you consider that even if you have pale skin, you still get 800 percent more sun protection.

By itself, the GliSODin® in Radiance would give your skin an extraordinary defense against overexposure. But I didn’t stop there.

I also brought together a high-caliber squadron of natural antioxidant powerhouses that eliminate any threat to total skin health. Some of them might surprise you:

Dear Beauty Conscious Reader,

If you’re still doing a “modern” workout routine – working out separate muscle groups each day like back and biceps, chest and triceps, shoulders and hamstrings – you could be making yourself more prone to injury.

Our bodies do not move anything in isolation, but rather integration. This is when all muscles work together to move, such as picking up a baby, walking, or pulling a door open.

If you train your body to do isolated movements, the muscles needed for everyday movement are not communicating with each other.

You’re conditioning your body to train slowly. So if you try to do things like play a sport which requires explosive movement, your body may not respond accordingly. And you might get hurt.

This is just one of the flaws of typical training workouts recommended today.

So, what should you do instead?

One of the best things you can do is use your own body weight in a circuit-style routine. You start by picking 5 or 6 exercises. One for each major muscle group in the body.

This works beautifully for Dr. Sears’ PACE program… it’s fun, quick, and it’s easy to create variations. And it’s the variations that will keep it effective over time.

For example, here’s what a simple circuit could look like:

Push-Ups – 10 reps

Crunches – 10 reps

Pull-Ups – 10 reps

Lunges – 10 reps each leg

Dips – 10 reps

Run/Sprint (to your best ability) – 50-100 yards or 10-20 seconds

At the end of this set, rest until your heart rate lowers to at least 30 beats above your resting heart rate. For example, if you have a resting heart rate of 70, and you then do a set and it reaches 150 or so… wait until it at least goes back down to 100 beats (30 beats above your resting). Then repeat the circuit.

Start off with at least two sets. As you become more conditioned, you can make progressive changes by adding sets and changing the exercises in the circuit pattern.

Try out this simple circuit, and I guarantee you’ll build bigger and stronger heart, lungs, AND muscles.

This is just one of the many valuable tips I’ve included in my brand-new exercise program, The Unconventional Fat Loss Methods 99% of Trainers Don’t Tell YOU! I’m so excited about this, because I want you to know the correct way to train for maximum energy and fitness.

You’ll get a two-volume DVD set, plus a companion manual full of even more tools to ensure your success. This is the stuff you need to know to keep you looking and feeling full of energy, super fit, and healthy.

You’ll also see what my brilliant colleague, Dr. Al Sears says on the most coveted anti-aging secrets that will blow your mind – especially once you realize how easy and inexpensive they are.

Dear Beauty Conscious Reader,

Not long ago, I discovered I was poisoning my baby.

It wasn’t intentional. In fact, I thought I was doing everything right.

But then she developed a rash…

At first, I thought it was an allergy, but it wouldn’t go away.

I suspected it was eczema, so I took her to the pediatrician. He confirmed my diagnosis and recommended heavy ointments and creams to keep her moisturized.

The creams would improve her condition a little bit for a couple of days. But the rash kept coming back and getting worse.

I knew I had to become a detective and figure out what was causing the problem.

So I took a close look at all the baby care items I had been using. Those sweet-smelling baby lotions, shampoos, and diaper ointments.

That’s when I began to figure it out…

They all contained parabens. And parabens are bad news!

Had I continued using these products, I would have been leading my daughter down a path toward early puberty, fertility problems, and, even worse, breast cancer.

The worst thing about it is that parabens are found in almost all personal-care products. You’ll find them in shampoo, lotion, shaving cream, deodorant, and more.

You probably use them on your body every single day of your life. And since your skin is the largest organ of your body, these nasty chemicals go straight into your bloodstream.

Once they get inside of you, they mimic estrogen, disrupt your endocrine system, and throw your hormones out of whack.

So I’ve been warning my patients about them. Especially since so many of them have come to me with hormonal issues.

Most of them are already aware that they need to stay away from hormone disruptors like plastics and pesticides. They also know to eat hormone-free chicken and eggs.

Types of Parabens

Parabens show up on ingredient lists under any of the following names.

Methylparaben

Ethylparaben

Propylparaben

Isobutylparaben

Butylparaben

Benzylparaben

But nobody has ever told them that what they put on their bodies is contributing to the problem and increasing their risk of breast cancer.

Here’s what you can do right away to stop poisoning your body with these estrogen mimickers and reduce your chances of getting breast cancer:

1) Read the ingredients in your skin-care products just as carefully as you do your food labels. Avoid anything that has the word “paraben” at the end of it.

2) Look for products with natural preservatives. Some of the best are grapefruit seed extract, citrus seed, potassium sorbate, sorbic acid, phenoxyethanol, and vitamins A, C, and E.

3) Don’t trust the “all-natural” label. Just because a product says it’s natural, it doesn’t mean there aren’t parabens in it. So be sure to check the ingredient list even if the front of the label makes it look safe.

Best Wishes for Health and Beauty,

I finally got my new infrared sauna, and as I tell my clients at the salon… it’s one of the greatest investments I’ve ever made. I never knew anything could feel this good!

You might be familiar with traditional saunas. Those are the ones that use wood or an electric stove to heat the air. But I recently found out about the benefits of using an infrared sauna… which heats you up, not the air.

The main reason I wanted my own infrared sauna is because of my allergies and a nagging knee pain. Now that I have it, I make sure to get into it every day… even if it’s only for a few minutes.

And wow! I’m already noticing a big improvement in both conditions.

Plus, it has some fringe benefits that I’m taking advantage of.

For example, it makes you sweat a lot. Which is great for pushing toxins out of your pores. It’s a “hot” way to detox!

When all of the impurities in your skin cells are released, you’re left with skin that’s glowing and free of blemishes.

Plus, the increased blood circulation created by the sauna helps stimulate your skin.

This fabulous invention even acts as a hot oil treatment for your hair!

You have to experience it for yourself.

A couple of minutes after you sit down in an infrared sauna, you start dripping with perspiration. You can feel the stress melting away. It’s a beautiful sensation that actually makes you sigh with relief and moan in satisfaction.

For those few moments, nothing else in your life matters. You just turn into Jello… and later you’ll get the best night’s sleep you’ve ever had.

I recommend that, if you have the chance, you check one out.

I know you’re going to love the experience as much as I do. Just make sure to drink plenty of water before, during, and after your sessions.

Keep on Stylin’!

I’ve got a secret that can have your body working like a fat-burning furnace all day long. It’s one of the easiest things in the world to do, and can help you achieve your dream body fast.

Coach Yari

Eat small, protein-rich meals every 2½ to 3½ hours.

When you eat small, frequent meals it allows your body to become a metabolic machine.

You see, when you don’t feed your body often enough – or feed it the wrong kinds of foods – it starts thinking it’s going to starve, so it goes into what I call “defense mode.” And that’s bad news. Because when this defense mechanism kicks in, your body begins storing FAT – the last thing you want it to do!

Now, I’m not telling you to fill up on pasta, french fries, and hot dogs every couple of hours. That’s not the way to go.

Instead, to ramp up your fat-burning capacity, you need to eat foods that can be digested and absorbed properly. That includes lean proteins, vegetables, salads, and complex carbs – foods that are in a form closest to what nature intended.

The best thing about it: There is absolutely no sacrifice involved. You’ll just get to eat a lot more of plenty of foods you like.

Lean Protein: There’s no need to stay away from protein. In fact, it’s the one food that’s really going to kick your metabolism into overdrive. When you get enough of it on a regular basis, your body has no reason to store fat. Try fish, poultry, lean steaks, eggs… and yes, you can eat the yolk too.

Veggies and Salad: Eat as many vegetables as you like… the greener the better, but all colors are good. They may not have as much nutrition in them as they used to, but they’re still a good way to get the antioxidants and nutrients your body needs to feel satisfied and healthy.

Complex Carbs: Instead of getting your carbs from processed sugars and refined wheat products that pack on the weight, get as close to nature as you can. Stick with foods that are low on the glycemic index, like brown rice, sweet potatoes, millet quinoa, sprouted grains, and beans.

Here’s an example of my daily eating plan…

At last! When it comes to injectable treatments for reducing wrinkles and relaxing your facial muscles, you finally have an alternative to Botox.

Just this year, a new product called Dysport has been approved for use in the United States. It’s been used in Europe since the early 90s with great success, so I’m excited to see it arrive.

Dysport is very similar to Botox. In fact, they’re both botulinum protein A. But there are some very distinct differences between the two:

Dr. Sears & Tara Smith, ARNP

1. The Dysport protein is somewhat smaller, so it works more quickly. European studies showed 25% of patients injected with Dysport noticed a difference on Day 1. Not everyone will get such quick results, but the median onset is only 2 to 3 days. Botox, on the other hand, takes 3 to 10 days to show results, with a median onset of 5 days.

2. Initial studies indicate that Dysport may last longer than Botox. Botox treatments normally last about 90 days. However, some studies indicate that Dysport treatments can remain effective for up to 120 days.

3. Dysport spreads out from the injection site more easily than Botox. This makes it a good choice for larger muscle groups, like the ones in your forehead. It also means fewer injections are needed to achieve results. However, keep in mind that if you’re trying to pinpoint small muscle, around the eye for example, it may not be your best option.

4. The cost of Dysport is much lower than Botox. This is partially because the unit size is 1/3 that of Botox. But since it diffuses farther from the injection point, you may be able to get more for your money with Dysport.

Now that you have an alternative to Botox, you may be considering an injection to relax your facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. If so, make sure to consult with a licensed professional who has experience with both Dysport and Botox.

Each has a role to offer, depending on the area that is being injected and your own muscular structure. So you’ll want your injector to be knowledgeable and well-versed in both methods.

Best Wishes for Health and Beauty,

Advances in anti-aging have reached new heights in recent years. That’s great news because now, for the first time ever, you can control how quickly your skin ages.

It’s a breakthrough that can extend the youth span of your skin cells to reduce visible signs of aging. It has even been shown to reverse existing skin damage.

The groundbreaking substance I’m talking about is called Teprenone, and in clinical studies, the results were astonishing. Over a period of 30 days…1

100% of the participants saw an improvement in sun spots and skin moisture.

Redness and pore size were reduced in over 90% of participants.

75% of them noticed an improvement in fine lines, skin firmness, tone, and elasticity.

It increased resistance to harmful UV rays by as much as 100%.

There’s a good reason for this…

If you haven’t been following the story on the amazing advances in telomere biology, telomeres are part of your DNA. They can be found in every cell in your body, and they’re critical to youthful cell function.

But as your cells divide, your telomeres get shorter. The shorter your telomeres, the more your skin cells age… and the older you look.

Today, advances in telomere biology have made it possible to stop the shortening of your skin’s telomeres. And that’s fantastic news because…

Reverse Signs of Aging: Teprenone actively delays the shortening of your telomeres.

In fact, studies show that it can extend the lifespan of your skin cells by 30%.2

The reason Teprenone is so effective is because it works on DNA. That’s something other creams and moisturizers don’t do.

By repairing your skin’s DNA, you can plump up your skin and erase wrinkles, tighten up your sagging jaw line, make your crow’s feet disappear, and reverse sun and aging spots.3

It also protects your DNA in other ways. It prevents oxidative build-up in your skin cells and helps your skin produce natural proteins that protect against damage. And it protects antioxidant activity that keeps your skin healthy and glowing.

This is a real breakthrough in anti-aging and has the potential to change the face of skincare forever.

That’s why I included Teprenone as an ingredient in Revive rejuvenation cream, along with several other skin revitalizing ingredients. Click here to try it out…

Dear Beauty Conscious Reader,

I’ve been a hair stylist for over 20 years, and I’ve seen it all when it comes to thinning hair. Lots of guys and girls who come to my salon have this problem. Especially as they get older. And believe me, it can be devastating.

They come to me full of frustration. They’ve tried everything – from hair extensions to all kinds of gooey hair products that only fake the funk.

Thinning hair and balding are much more common than you might think. You may be guilty of trying some of these trendy solutions yourself.

But after all that pulling and tugging, it can leave you with a very unhealthy scalp and hair. And even more frustrated than you were before by all your efforts to make your hair look full and sexy.

Let’s face it, gals, isn’t that all we really want? Sexy, lustrous locks!

With more and more of my older female clients looking as bald as their husbands, I decided to do my own research. There just had to be a solution.

So I decided to ask Dr. Sears about it…

Turns out, in most cases, there’s a hormone culprit at the root of the problem. An imbalance of this hormone is usually the case with the guys, but can also happen to women. It gets even worse as we age, and that’s exactly what I was seeing in my salon!

But to explain why that’s happening to us women, I have to get a little more technical…

Now, are you ready for this? The hormone has a big, fancy name, “dihydrotestosterone.” But don’t let that bother you too much. We’ll just call it “DHT” for short.

The point is, if women with the pattern of a receding hair line and hair thinning over the crown were to get tested, the results would most likely show a high level of DHT in their blood.

Ready for the good news? Dr. Sears has a solution. It’s called Infuse…

Infuse is a spray-on strengthening and thickening formula that blocks the deteriorating effects of DHT. It also helps to replenish your scalp and hair by redistributing vitamins and minerals that are necessary for the growth of vibrant hair. It literally feeds new life into your hair follicles, revives your scalp, and brings your hair back to life.

Studies on Infuse show that it:

Reduces the appearance of hair loss

Gives you thicker, stronger, silkier, shinier hair

Helps diminish scalp irritation

So there is hope for us all!

I’ve been using this product myself, especially on my hairline, which has been abused by chemicals and hair weaves over the years. I can’t tell you the difference it has made to my life. My salon clients refuse to go without it.

I’m sure it will work for you as well.

Here’s how you can try it yourself…

Keep on Stylin’!

Dear Beauty Conscious Reader,

The national campaign to keep us out of the sun has finally caught up with us. The result?

A study from the prestigious Archives of Internal Medicine found that an astounding three out of four Americans don’t get enough vitamin D.

Here’s why you should care:

Low vitamin D levels don’t just cause rickets in children and weaken bones in adults. They are strongly linked to cancer, heart disease, and many other serious health problems.

The study shows that vitamin D levels dropped 20% from 1994 to 2004 on average. The number of people who have a clinical deficiency of vitamin D tripled, and those who are below the healthy level of vitamin D jumped by almost 50%.1

Given our obsession with staying out of the sun – nature’s way of creating vitamin D in our bodies – and the dramatic drop in vitamin D nutrients in our foods, it’s no wonder that this has become a national epidemic.

Plus, the government has kept its recommended levels for vitamin D supplements way too low for far too long. Its current recommendation is to take:

200 IU per day from birth to 50 years old

400 IU per day for aged adults 51 to 70

And 600 IU per day for those 71 and older

The study’s authors recommend taking 1,000 IU or more a day of vitamin D supplements on top of increasing your exposure to the sun. The government, however, is dragging its feet and says it may take up to a year to recommend new guidelines.

Don’t wait. This report will show you how to safely increase your vitamin D levels and avoid the risks of vitamin D deficiency.

Vitamin D: Don’t Fear the Sun – It’s Nature’s Cancer Fighter

Your body needs exposure to the sun to produce vitamin D. An Anticancer Research study found that just by getting a little sunlight every day – about 20 minutes for fair-skinned people and two to four times that much for those with dark skin – could reduce the risk of 16 types of cancer.2

Numerous studies prove the cancer-destroying properties of vitamin D. In fact, it causes melanoma cells to self-destruct.3

One group of scientists at the University of New Mexico found that exposure to the sun helped cancer patients to recover from already established melanoma. So much so, their rate of survival doubled!4

But with their stern warnings and dire predictions, you won’t hear many dermatologists – or the $6 billion sunscreen industry – voicing this evidence. Just like the great “cholesterol con” that tricked so many into fearing cholesterol and swallowing toxic “statin” drugs – their “fear of the sun” campaign is just as ridiculous.

The real research suggests that the best way to avoid deadly melanoma is to spend more time in the sun. For instance, dozens of studies show that people who work inside – like office workers – have a much higher risk of melanoma than those who work outside – like construction workers and lifeguards.5

To underscore this point, melanoma commonly occurs in areas that don’t receive any sunlight at all – like the palms of your hands, the soles of your feet, under your arms, beneath your fingernails – even inside your nose.

Enjoy the Sun and Protect Yourself Naturally

First, some common sense: Avoid sunburn. It hurts and damages your skin. Second, stop using chemical-based sunscreens – like the ones you get at the drugstore. The chemicals can actually be carcinogenic. If you like, you can find sunscreens available on the internet that are natural and chemical-free.

Most importantly, it’s critical that you boost your body’s natural defenses. Our change in diet has left us defenseless against the sun’s normally health-enhancing rays. Thanks to commercial farming and processing, the nutrients we need to prevent skin cancer are increasingly absent from our food. That’s why we require supplements to get the nutrients we need.

Here are my favorite supplements to help:

Cod Liver Oil - The lack of healthy omega-3 fatty acids in our diet is one of the primary factors contributing to the rise of skin cancer. Grains, sugars, and processed foods – even commercial beef – are full of omega-6 fatty acids. Not only are these inflammatory, but they prevent your skin from fighting the sun’s UV rays.

A tablespoon of cod liver oil a day will replenish your omega-3 levels and keep your skin looking young and fresh. It will also give you a boost of vitamin D in its most natural form.

Astaxanthin is a carotenoid found in shrimp, lobsters, salmon, trout, and algae. It gives them their red/pinkish color. (Carotenoids are nutrients that protect plants and animals from UV radiation.)

Astaxanthin is hundreds of times more powerful than most carotenoids and multiplies the effects of vitamin C and E, increasing their antioxidant activity.6 This is one of the best supplements to prevent skin cancer. During periods of prolonged exposure, you can’t beat it. It’s available as a capsule. I recommend 2 mg a day with meals.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid - ALA is a powerful antioxidant that works at all levels – including your skin. Not only does it protect skin cells from free radicals, it protects their mitochondria (the power plant of every cell) and pumps up your cancer defense mechanisms.

It also preserves collagen and prevents the damage associated with aging skin making your skin more youthful and vibrant. I recommend 200 mg to 400 mg daily.

Vitamin C – A lack of vitamin C makes your skin vulnerable to damage from the sun’s rays. And we have recently started getting far less vitamin C in our diets.

I recommend 3,000 mg per day if you’re currently in good health. This will give you enough to produce the collagen required for strong blood vessels and heart disease prevention.

Pregnant women should get at least 6,000 mg per day – and in times of stress or sickness, you can take up to 20,000 mg. A powdered form may be more convenient for larger doses.

Vitamin D – Finally, take a good vitamin D supplement. I recommend 1,000 to 2,000 IU daily, particularly during the winter or if you live in cold, damp climates with little sunlight.

To Your Good Health,
