Beautiful skin doesn’t have to be complicated. Keeping your skin looking young is actually much easier than you may think.
It all starts with one simple principle: Your inner health reflects the outer health of your skin.
It really makes perfect sense when you think about it. Instead of spending hours slathering the latest anti-aging lotions and potions on your skin day after day, you can focus on maintaining your health to not only improve your quality of life but also improve the appearance of your skin.
Who Says You Have to Look Your Age?

Your skin is one of your most important natural resources. It’s responsible for protecting you from the outside elements, and with a little TLC, it can help you to look fresh, confident, and much younger than your age.
Every day your skin faces opposition – whether it’s the pollutants in our modern environment or even harsh chemicals in many of the modern beauty products on the market today. These outside factors continue to rob you of your natural protection and deplete one of your most valuable resources.
Even foods in our modern diet that are full of preservatives and additives can deprive your skin of the valuable nutrients that it needs to stay in the best condition.
Safe Alternatives to Chemical Skin Care Ingredients

If you spend a moment or two in the beauty section of a department store, you’ll probably walk away feeling totally overwhelmed by all of the lotions, potions, and serums that you’re recommended to use each day.
The beauty industry is booming, and it can get pretty confusing to try to separate the good from the bad, and the safe from the toxic when it comes to your daily skin care regimen. Fortunately, you can go back to basics when it comes to caring for your skin to see the greatest results in a smooth, fresh complexion.
You see, your skin is just like any other organ in your body: living, breathing, and in need of nutrition to stay young and healthy. Just in the same way that your health would be compromised if you constantly ate junk food and never exercised, your skin can be compromised if it’s overloaded with toxic chemical ingredients.
In reality, the majority of commercial beauty products are loaded full of chemical ingredients that affect the health of your skin and could even cause serious issues like skin cancer. Yes, many of these chemical ingredients are hard to pronounce and even harder to figure out what they will and won’t do for your skin.

This Really Gives Away Your Age…

If you had to guess what part of your body shows your age the most, what would you say?
Your eyes? Your forehead? Hair color? Lips?
The answer is none of the above. Believe it or not, it’s your hands that give it all away.
Youthful hands are taut, smooth and free of brown discolorations known as “age spots” or “liver spots.”
These discolorations are caused by UV (ultraviolet) light from the sun. The light stimulates the production of melanin in your body; the same thing that allows your skin to tan. But in this case, the melanin pools in certain areas … like your hands. And this is what causes these unsightly age spots.
And while they’re harmless, they can be embarrassing and annoying. But there are ways to get rid of these little spots for more youthful looking hands.
When Skin Problems Are “All in Your Head”

You probably wouldn’t be surprised if I told you that having stubborn skin problems could make you feel bad.
But what if I told you that your emotional state may cause stubborn skin problems?
It’s true. Your skin can react to what’s going on in your mind. And that reaction may be anything from a case of hives to skin conditions like acne or psoriasis – and even hair loss.

Stress, emotional shock and negative emotions can trigger skin trouble. When that happens, and your doctor looks for a “medical” cause, he won’t find one. That may even lead your doctor to tell you “it’s all in your head.”

Treat Eczema from the Inside

It’s National Healthy Skin month, so I thought I’d write to you about natural cures for one of the most common skin-care problems I treat: eczema – the itchy, scaly, annoying rash you can get just about anywhere on your skin.
I’ve seen hundreds of patients who’ve tried every kind of cream, potion and lotion, but still can’t beat their breakouts.
That’s because it’s common to treat eczema like a problem that starts on the outside. Even health professionals do this. But in most cases, eczema is really just a symptom of an internal problem.

I wasted a lot of money on over-the-counter lotions, serums, and night creams. Eventually I figured out they just weren’t doing anything. Now I know why… they never made it into my skin.
Let me explain …
